I made two of them because I wasn't sure if one of them was allowed. The bottom one is not powered at all. It hits the wall, and the expanding spring pushes the car forward. The one on the top works in a similar way, only it uses a slider joint instead of a spring. Zoom out once to see them both.

    Interesting...

The top has 1 restitution in the pusher, the bottom 0.-----------------

Ok... I've finally managed to build a pretty good moving machine.
    It works with friction...
When the slider is going forward, it makes the car go, but when it reloads, the spiked gear prevents the car from driving backwards.
Both the little lock of the gear and the blue rectangle works under their own weight.
Now we're just missing some music coming out the wheel when it's rubbed by the box ;)
    So, here's my

I played around with the car's settings for a while but it seems to work always the same or slower,
so I leave the lower box empty until I can improve it or make another one.-----------------
    I'm still around... observing.

top one is a glitch that i didnt expect (idk if its allowed, if not, then ignore it.)
bottom one is what i was trying to get. (a piston like car)

    Me does.
After I posted my entry I saw your comment suggesting a machine that could go back and forth in the map...
So I spent about 45 minutes fine tuning my previous machine to add a mechanism that would allow it to do so.
I have edited my comment above and added it in the lower box.
The back wheel has a much lower friction than the front one...
This makes the car slide backwards a little after every movement.
And If you watch it when it's switching back for the first time, you will note that the car almost switches forward again...
But it doesn't thanks to this little bump caused by the back wheel's low friction.-----------------

Wow. Nice idea MCC. It's way super cool how it's able to move back and forth using that one slider joint. Nice.-----------------

The wheels are motorized. It says we can only use slider joints. No motors.-----------------

Check to see if this is ok.
Only 1 slider and 2 distance joints.
    No invisibles (besides the slider).
The text is out of the box, but I don't think that matters.
And honestly... I have absolutly no idea how it works.
