    anyway, I made this... not finished

    So I wondered... how should I generate a random path?

    but... which is more accurate? normal pulse or tangent pulse? tangent pulse does no damage if you hit a horizontal platform... at least, i think...
    the polyline isn't prefectly centered

    also, I have no idea how accurate the damage is.

    Lastly, I made a reference in this post (not the design)... see if you can spot it!-----------------

    It's good, I like it, but I suggest a few changes.

    1) The tunnels are far too narrow. It's fine for later levels, I guess, but right at the beginning it should be much wider.
    2) The ship moves far too slowly. It's nearly impossible to navigate any significant distance without touching something. I suggest making it raise and fall at least 50%-75% faster.
    3) The game should have a starting count down. Currently, the game begins right as you start, rather then counting down slightly and giving you a chance to get ready.
    4) The game should a game over screen, rather then just infinitely panning the tunnel.
    5) Finally, you should add more control options. (Space, Left Mouse, And W would all be nice.)-----------------

    I won without losing any life! And this is currently a test.Later I will add rubble (circles) that you can shoot.

    I played the real game, yes. I choose the smaller ship, though. I did pretty well on it. On your's I lost in less then five seconds, every time I played.-----------------

    I uhh... really disliked your standard path... so I uhh...



    also - score
    endless tunnels
    tunnels slowly narrowing
    gravity/boost relative to speed
    speed constantly increasing
    health regenerating (slowly)

    EDIT: no one saw the previous release with really messed up cameras? okay. good.
    EDIT2: no one saw that terrible score location in the middle of the screen right? okay good.

    I got 2359 on my first try with the scout. After some time you're just crashing in the top and bottom and there's not much you can do about it.

    I realized the same thing :(

    any reccommendations to how to change that Vanderwaal?

    I was thinking of maybe having different periods where you slow down but have more extreme ups/downs

    or more straight but really fast... idk.

    the only thing that this really needs is to have a progressive second order change instead of a random first order one,
    this way the paths would flow much better instead of being super jagged, but that's a function for another day haha.

    great update. love the new randimization.
    maybe adding power ups next? like smaller ship, slower ship/screen, health boost, score bonuses ect.?-----------------

    Bio, that's what I was trying to do... I was just busy and couldn't find the time!
    EDIT: The real game has a health-up which increases your shield by 20. I prefer that over rregeneration...-----------------

    I know what clamp does, but what's wrong with having over 100 shield?

    feel free to use it or change it as you like Mathdude, I don't think i'll be doing any more on it

    i did some testing with the blue ship, and it dies really fast.
    the blueship takes 25+ damage from a minor scrape compared to the tiny damge the red ship takes.
    The blue ship is also bigger, and therefore harder to control.
    maybe mae the differant ships have differant stats, like fast handling, speed, ect.?-----------------

    I tried to fix that... but now the red ship dies INSTANLY... and the blue ship takes way too much damage.
    So I scaled it down... now the BLUE ship takes "tiny damage" and the RED ship takes "25+ damage"...

    The control is based on the world gravity... doubling the gravity doubles the upward thrust.
