The goal is to ask yes or no questions to figure out the answer to a riddle.

Again, I'm not sure how hard this one is, although after seeing the solution I thought it was somewhat difficult.
Here goes (it does not involve death):

A man works at the aquarium. He spends way too long telling visitors not to touch the glass at the shark tank. One day, while off duty, he thought of a solution. After implementing it, no one touched the glass, but as a result, he was fired. What did he do and why was he fired?

    Known Facts

    • is human (duh)
    • did not kill or relocate anything inside the aquarium
    • did affect the glass but did not remove it
    • did not threaten the visitors
    • did not create a barrier between the visitors and the glass
    • did not use reverse psycology

    • are human
    • did not die
    • could see through the glass

    • figuring out the age of the man will not give any useful information

    • the sharks are real
    • the solution really worked

    1) Killed the shark.
    2) Killed a person after touching the glass.
    3) Killed a fish/animal/similar, and smeared it\'s blood all over the glass.
    4) He asked kindly. :)

Mathdude, I feel you may have misunderstood my question:

Did the man use a method of intimidation?

intimidate: to frighten or overawe (someone), especially in order to make them do what one wants.

from your note about 9, I assume this answer is actually yes.

    Yes: 13, 14
    No: 15, 16

Puzzle Geek, you got it correct, although it's not completely accurate, I'll give you credit.

Did the man put a crack into the glass?
    Yes

EDIT: I just realized: This isn\'t completely accurate. The man painted a fake crack on the glass, and people thought it was real.

A man gardens for a hobby. One day he plants a tree, only to find that the next day, one of his neighbors dies. This would not have happened if he did not plant the tree, and he did not intend to kill her. She was inside when it happened, and the tree did not fall. How could this be?

    Known Facts
    • is human
    • is human
    • figuring out the age of the gardener or neighbor will not give valuable information
    • the answer is not something absolutely ridiculous that you would not guess like aliens thinking the tree is a sign that the neighbor needs to be killed

    ----
EDIT 7/6/2017: Oh man, this was so long ago. I think I remember the puzzle as being somehow the man broke an underground electrical line as a result of digging. This somehow caused her to die. I forget the specifics...-----------------

uhm, ok, so the next day she died? that's where I"m a bit confused... most of puzzles questions do not makes sense to happen simply overnight... I've never seen a tree grow apples or have a hornets nest or create maple syrup THE DAY AFTER it was planted. Until the adult tree/ sapling questions are answered those others don't quite make sense imo.

First thing that comes to mind is allergies.

Did the woman have an allergic reaction?

But that seems too easy, so I'm curious if it is more to do with the digging than the tree itself.

Did the man break into something while digging? (water lines, electric lines, buried treasure, etc)

perhaps he broke into a water line and poisoned her, or cut her electricity that powered her life support?

or, the other thing that comes to mind from trees is their shadows...

Did the trees shadow fall on her house, or property?

perhaps the shadow hit the solar panels on her house that powered her life support systems xD ?

other questions that are related to the above and may help:

Did the women go outside at all?
Did she interact with the tree at all?
Does the woman have some sort of disability?

You have successfully brute-forced my puzzle. Congratulations, I never expected so many questions at once. You have also taught me one important aspect of a good puzzle which is that one should not allow a brute-force search.

I'm surprised nobody used coersion to extract the solution in binary after like 5 riddles.

    1. Did the tree rop something on here head? Like an apple?
