Name the largest rational number you can, in under 15 characters. (Not counting commas, or spaces.) Your number must be larger in value then the previous comment. Equation Symbols are allows. I.e. */+-^() etc. (These also count as characters!) No "Variables". (Such as BiosNumber, X, or Graham's Number, etc) (Note: This does not count things such as Binary, Octal, or a Dozonal. Those are allowed.)
And as always, last comment, wins. ^^----------------- Orange is my favorite number.
That, I believe, is the largest possible number. No other iteration of that number will make a higher number that I am aware of. I even used wolfram alpha to check the various possibilities.----------------- puzzled
I feel it should be a rule that your number should be determinate... so unless you plan to calculate what Graham's Number is, I don't think it should count.
@Math, X is not a number, it is a variable... doing that is similar to what I did when I said "BiosNumber" we're just making up a number and a name and saying "I win", which I think isn't fair.
To the dude's dismay, I have found a flaw in his 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!! submission, that is, the equation '!!" is a DIFFERENT equation than "!" and it results in a smaller value than the single "!"
to get around this, I simply separated the "!" with a space, and since in the first post it says spaces don't count ;D it's totally fair to do, I present:
9! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
which results in a number much higher than 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!! = 9!! !! !! !! !! !! !!
[takes a bow]
thank you all for reading :)
so uhm, wolfram doesn't even want to compute the number of digits of this number, so I don't really know how big it is...
but I checked 9! ! ! and it was already: 2.993960567614282×10^1859939 decimal digits
The rules only count characters. Nowhere in the rules does it state about super/sub scripts. (Oh, also I'm adding a rule in for no "Variables". (Such as BiosNumber, X, or Grahams Number.")----------------- Orange is my favorite number.
And that was tenth grade math for me Mr! And we're still talking about it a little in 11th grade with quadratic equations (it sounds so fancy XD).----------------- puzzled
Yeah, looks like our high school math is different in terms of ordering, bio. We did trig in grade 10 and we did some this year in grade 11 too. idk, but theres the grade 10 math, the grade 11 pre calc, grade 12 pre calc, and grade 12 calculus. Its done differently everywhere.
And your not that old bio... :)----------------- puzzled
I don't know what they call it anywhere else, but that's what they call it here. It's basically a bunch of random mic Algreba topics that don't really connect to each other in any way.----------------- Orange is my favorite number.
I'm pretty sure I win with: G(G(G(G(64)))! Now I'm using the well-known sequence G that constructs Graham's Number (G(0) = 4, G(n+1) = 3 ^...^ 3 with G(n) arrows). It's not a variable, it's a sequence. I use function notation as CIF doesn't support subscripts.
I'm not sure if this is better or not: A(G(64),G(64))! Where A is Ackermann's function.
Though I believe someone will drop the TREE(3) bomb on me...----------------- 3.14159265358979323846264338327950288... Nothing Here
Where P is the formula I made. No, it's not something I just made up, its a "well" documented (8 pages) formula a made on my own. X=A(((((n-D)/B)^e)+((n-D)/B))/2)+C (Two extra sets of brackets added for forum clarification.)
Lel this doesn't work probably, but I just felt like throwing in another formula into the mix for the heck of it XD----------------- puzzled
^ I agree with puzzle. I've kinda given up on this since it became who could find the most ridiculous formula/number that has a name or notation under 15 characters...
maybe you find it fun, but words and names are endless, and therefore so are the abbreviations you can make for them, so this could go on forever as more massive numbers are given names...
so I might as well just say BiosNumber ie, B(x) and define a massive massive massive number myself... who's to say I won't be a famous mathematician and BiosNumber is legit in 3 years?
T_T Fine so what does everyone suggest? And if the game is decided to be finished, who is the person who won?----------------- Orange is my favorite number.
I guess this could end at the 50th comment... after people delete all their whispers and TheDude deletes his "1" comment...
After looking at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedm... I decide to crush TREE(3) with... SSCG(SSCG(Z))^Z! Unfortunately I can't do a proper superscript, so view the ^Z as one character. I believe this cannot be beat with the character limit.
EDIT: Old Design I Found! I wanted to hide it as best I could. The first person to find it wins a prize... ----------------- 3.14159265358979323846264338327950288... Nothing Here
